This codec. My computer keeps telling me I need it, and I can't find it anywhere. I already downloaded and installed one codec pack that supposedly had it, but my computer complains to me otherwise.

Any suggestions? Tracking down codecs is such a fucking pain in the ass.

Hey, speaking of this morning, I had some extra time to watch TV before my bus came. And guess what I stumbled across? A Ghostbusters animated TV show (eng w/ fin subtitles)! It was sooooo weird! And stupid, too. But it's meant for little kids. I never even knew that there was an animated GB series. I must see more of it. Even though none of the characters are the same...there's one character who has the same sort of humor as Peter, and there's another character who's name is Egon, but this Egon is blond with a ponytail. D: WEIRD.

Oh well.

Well, sorry about my last journal. XD Silly complaining and moping. Oh well.

Things are actually looking up. I did get a pumpkin (it's PUNY) from the supermarket, and I intend to carve it tomorrow night. My teacher also bought a shitload of candy and she gave my everything that was leftover. So I have this box full of Finnish chocolate now. Yum.

Otherwise, I only have two horror movies to watch tomorrow night. Children of the Corn and The Shining. Not the best movies, but they'll do. Wish I had Ghostbusters ro something funny.

I'm too lazy to check my messages, even though they very badly need to be checked. 94 deviations? D8 OMG.

So, I'll post more pictures later too. Right now I'm using my flash drive as a ferry between the school computers and my computer for all the shit I download, so I can't really put a bunch of pictures on it. That'd take up too much space. XDD

Right now I really only concerned abut one thing: the weekend. Halloween is on Saturday, and I'm so sad that I can't do anything for it. Because there are no pumpkins in Northern Karelia, I don't get to carve pumpkins or toast the seeds. Because I have no money, I can't buy/make any candy or other sweets. Or go to the bar for a Halloween party. And, because I'm freaking MOVING to a different family on Friday, I can't have a Halloween party with my friends like I was originally intending to. Instead, I get to pack and leave the comfort of the house and people that have been my home and family for the past three months.

Oh well. I can always wear my Spock shirt as a halfassed costume, I suppose.

How depressing.

BTW Zoe, Dragon Wing ended up being really good. I love Haplo. Now I must wait in agony. to read the rest of the books next summer. D<

Anyways, I'm doing fine. Back in school, back with normal internets. Downloaded The Shining just in time for Halloween. Now I can have nightmares for the rest of my exchange.

Anyways, I met "the first exchange student from Ilomantsi EVER" yesterday. Her name is Susanna, and she's quite nice. She went to Syracuse, NY in 1990. But anyways. Her parents own this framing company, and right in Ilomantsi is their workshop where my make the frames from planks of wood and EVERYTHING. And she knew I was interested in art, so she invited me to the shop to learn how to make one myself. IT WAS SO FLIPPIN' SWEET. Making picture frames is so cool, and so much fun, provided you don't accidentally lop one of your fingers off in the process. I got to cut the glass for the frame and everything. I wish I could make one of those giant obnoxious ornate gold or silver frames, like you see in French art museums, but I'd have to paint something for it first, and I'm much too lazy for that. XD Plus there's the problem of how to get it back home...

And, school is getting more active for me. I actually have German homework and English homework for every class, so I'm actually doing stuff at school now! And I'm still doing the musical, but I really want to quit. But I can't quit because I can't commit to doing something and then walk out. I've already done that once this year and I don't wanna do it again.
And then there's...THE PROM. It's in February. It's not like an American prom, where you dress up and go party all night. No, we have to take a specific dance course to learn these old fashioned dances (waltz and tango, so far) and then get all dressed up and dance them at the prom. The afterparties are the real parties. So I'm in the dance course, I got paired up by default with the last boy who was unfortunate enough to not get a dance partner beforehand, and we are learning the dances. He's okay at dancing, but...not good looking or anything. Rmmmmm. Being the exchange student sucks sometimes.
But. I'm gonna need a dress. That's the real problem. So...jdhfuoeftjkdsbgksjd.
